Lincoln Cathedral opens to visitors in August
From Wednesday 5th, Lincoln Cathedral will fully reopen to allow tourists, pilgrims and general visitors inside. Since it’s closure in late March due to COVID-19, this will be the first time the cathedral has been open to the public.
Since June 15th, it began a gradual reopening for private prayer. On July 5th, it will finally be open again for gathered worship. A reduced price of £5 per adult will now allow visitors, with under 16s going free for a limited time.
The Very Revd Christine Wilson, Dean of Lincoln, said: “Lincoln Cathedral is a place of hospitality and welcome for all, so it is a great joy once again to invite visitors to come and explore this sacred space, discover its rich history and enjoy its unique and peaceful atmosphere.”
